Overview

CHI Saint Joseph Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist II to join our Radiology Resource Flex team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain high-quality images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain patient history and screening forms, explain routine procedures, and address patient concerns.
  • Maintain patient records and files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Perform quality assurance on magnetic resonance scanners, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  • Perform procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist's expectations and protocols.
  • Display knowledge and comply with the National Patient Safety goals.
  • Support and report any identified compliance matters.
  • Participate in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
  • Maintain professional development and education for technical competency.
  • Use standard precautions and PPE at all times.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and licensure for current position.
  • Attend all CHI Saint Joseph Health required educational programs as well as all Learn modules.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation and monitoring of the department and utilize resources efficiently.
  • Demonstrate complete working knowledge of equipment within assigned area.
  • Knowledge and performance of the Code of Conduct Standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Possess and maintain certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR).
  • State of Kentucky License required.
  • BLS within 30 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in MRI preferred.
