Position Overview:
Mattos Hospitality is on the lookout for a detail-oriented and efficient Reservationist. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, and possess a proactive approach to managing guest interactions. A genuine passion for the hospitality industry is essential.
This role is based in the corporate office of Mattos Hospitality and requires availability during evenings and weekends. Experience with reservation systems such as Resy and OpenTable is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the initial point of contact, establishing a welcoming atmosphere for all guests and ensuring professional service delivery.
- Manage incoming inquiries and reservation requests through various communication channels, maintaining a courteous and efficient demeanor.
- Utilize Resy and OpenTable platforms to facilitate reservations and organize seating arrangements.
- Possess a thorough understanding of reservation management to optimize seating capacity.
- Address customer concerns and complaints with a positive and prompt response.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff regarding reservation details and guest preferences, enhancing guest recognition efforts.
- Communicate with guests to confirm reservations and accommodate special requests.
- Assist with large group bookings and event inquiries as needed.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of experience in a host, Maitre'd, or reservations role within the restaurant industry.
- Proficiency in using Resy and OpenTable.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
- Exhibit a collaborative team player attitude.
- Flexible availability to meet business needs.
