Job Title: Patient Care Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Support Specialist to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our psychiatric care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our patients.

Job Summary:

The Patient Care Support Specialist will provide direct patient care and support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This includes assisting with activities of daily living, obtaining vital signs, and documenting observations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Obtain vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
  • Document observations and patient information in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience
  • Completion of a certification course for Nursing Assistant preferred
  • 1 year of prior experience in a psychiatric or mental health facility, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of basic nursing aide functions and ability to communicate effectively

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, communicate clearly and concisely, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Pay Range: $24.15 to $30.91 per hour
