Position Overview: This role is dedicated to delivering comprehensive financial advisory services at designated military locations. The primary focus is on providing a wide range of personal financial counseling to military personnel and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer individualized financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
  • Assist service members in developing effective spending plans, particularly during extended absences.
  • Create and distribute educational financial materials tailored for military families.
  • Organize and facilitate various Personal Financial Management workshops covering essential topics relevant to the military lifecycle.
  • Respond to requests for age-appropriate financial education sessions.
  • Utilize virtual counseling tools and secure online communication methods to provide support.
  • Adhere to Department of Defense protocols in managing sensitive situations.
  • Engage with leadership and participate in regular supervision to discuss trends and challenges faced by the installations.
  • Contribute to ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required; however, an associate degree with four years of relevant experience or a high school diploma with six years of experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in financial counseling is essential.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens and fluent in English.
  • Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 1 investigation is necessary.
  • Certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) is required.

Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is between $58,440 and $93,500, reflecting national data. Actual compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications and experience.
