Position Overview
As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of children with autism and developmental disorders. Your expertise will be essential in implementing effective behavioral strategies and assessments that cater to the unique needs of each child.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including experimental Functional Behavior Assessments and curriculum-based evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized behavior support plans utilizing advanced techniques to address challenging behaviors.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design functional behavioral assessments tailored for children with autism spectrum disorders.
- Create targeted interventions for skill deficits and oversee staff training and workshops.
- Monitor and evaluate the fidelity of behavior intervention plans through regular observations and integrity assessments.
- Engage with parents to provide training and support where necessary.
- Supervise behavior support staff and conduct performance evaluations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress notes and reports in compliance with hospital policies.
Qualifications
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification is required upon hire.
- A Master's Degree in Psychology, Behavioral Analysis, or Education is essential.
- A minimum of two years of post-master's experience in behavior analysis treatment is required, along with experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build effective relationships with medical staff, patients, and families.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in practice.
