Job Summary

The Surgical Technician II is a member of the healthcare team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a RN according to accepted clinical standards of care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform technical support in the perioperative period
  • Work under the direction and supervision of a RN
  • Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up
Requirements
  • High School or Equivalent and completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program and 1 year surgical technician experience
  • High School or Equivalent and completion of a military or hospital-based training program with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • NBSTSA or NCCT
