Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Master's degree or equivalent from an ASHA accredited institution in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Possession or eligibility for Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License
  • Possession or eligibility for Illinois Early Intervention Certification
Key Responsibilities

As a Speech Language Pathologist in our pediatric clinic, you will provide a range of services including speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy for clients from infancy through young adulthood. You will have the flexibility to work part-time in the Illinois Early Intervention program, serve senior home health patients, or see private clients at home, allowing you to set your own schedule.

In your role, you will collaborate closely with a dynamic clinical team, enhancing your skills as a therapist while fulfilling responsibilities such as:

  • Assessing communication abilities and identifying disorders in articulation, fluency, voice, feeding, swallowing, and language comprehension and expression.
  • Participating in screenings and evaluations, as well as IEP and IFSP meetings.
  • Developing individualized treatment plans, goals, and educational materials.
  • Creating home treatment programs and training parents and caregivers.
  • Instructing support staff on the use of communication devices and implementing treatment strategies.
  • Completing ongoing professional development requirements.
