About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at HealthPRO Heritage. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing and directing speech therapy services to patients, helping them reach their maximum performance potential within a medical model of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine and diagnose communicative deficits and equipment needs.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment programs based on initial evaluations and containing achievable functional goals.
  • Therapy Services: Provide speech therapy services to patients, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain timely and accurate departmental records, including progress notes and discharge summaries.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with nursing staff, residents, and families to maximize residents' use of functional abilities and instruct residents and family members on therapeutic procedures to be continued at home.
  • Continuing Education: Participate in ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain clinical currency and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Certification: Hold a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) credential offered by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Licensure: Maintain valid state Speech Language Pathology licensure.
