Maintenance Operations Manager

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to champion a culture of empowerment and learning, guiding teams to optimize performance through coaching, communication, and development opportunities. The ideal candidate will be an insightful strategist who can assess needs, implement improvements, and sustain engagement across diverse groups.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal production performance.
- Manage contractor work and maintain detailed records of completed repairs and inspections.
- Assess, train, and mentor direct reports to optimize their performance and personal growth.
- Communicate performance standards and expectations to employees, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments.
- Coordinate and monitor the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track maintenance activities and performance.
- Conduct root cause analysis of machine downtime and recommend improvements.
- Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess progress against objectives.
- Perform other duties as required to support the maintenance team.
- A high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
- Knowledge of equipment setup, functions, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques.
- Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
- Ability to read instructions, maintenance manuals, drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working in a maintenance department, preferably in an automated food processing plant.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions to complete machine rebuilds and repairs.
