Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our Home Health department, you will provide respiratory therapy services and prescribed medical equipment/supplies to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Assess patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
  • Respiratory Care Services: Provide respiratory care services in accordance with specific physician's orders, department policies, and procedures and guidelines.
  • Care Coordination: Coordinate care plans for respiratory patients, evaluating patient progress and communicating with other health care providers regarding modifications to patient treatment, patient progress, and patient compliance.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and caregivers in the proper use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, troubleshooting equipment-related questions and concerns.
  • Treatment Evaluation: Evaluate respiratory practice and treatment based on patient outcome.
  • Inventory Management: Participate in maintaining departmental inventory levels for supplies and equipment.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent years of experience and education.
