Job Summary:
As a Respiratory Therapist at SSM Health, you will provide high-quality patient care services, delivering prescribed medical equipment and supplies to patients in need. This role requires a strong understanding of respiratory therapy principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
Assess patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
Provide respiratory care services in accordance with specific physician's orders, department policies, and procedures and guidelines.
Coordinate care plans for respiratory patients, evaluating patient progress and communicating with other healthcare providers regarding modifications to patient treatment, patient progress, and patient compliance.
Educate patients and caregivers in the proper use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, troubleshooting equipment-related questions and concerns.
Participate in maintaining departmental inventory levels for supplies and equipment, working in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Requirements:
Associate's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
No experience required, but a strong understanding of respiratory therapy principles and practices is essential.
Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification, as well as a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification, as well as registration with the relevant state licensing board.
