Slitting Machine Technician

We are seeking a skilled Slitter Operator to join our team at Steel Technologies LLC. As a Slitter Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a slitter to meet customer specifications and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Setup and Operation: Set up and operate a slitter to ensure compliance with customer specifications and production requirements.
- Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Measurement and Verification: Measure and verify dimensions, align parts, and produce material according to production instructions.
- Quality Control: Maintain production and quality standards by checking and recording gauge width, hardness, camber, burr, and surface condition.
- Communication: Communicate non-compliance production to supervisor and/or shift lead.
- Housekeeping: Remove scrap from machine and empty hopper as needed, and clean slitter and surrounding area.
- Technical Skills: Ability to use tape measures, Rockwell tester, micrometers, and calipers.
- Physical Demands: Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with regular exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards.
