Overview

MasTec Communications Group is a leading provider of telecommunications infrastructure services. We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-minded Field Technician I to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support in the maintenance and operation of generators, HVAC, and telecommunication site infrastructures.
  • Read and understand customer detail plans.
  • Provide superior customer service while ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner.
  • Adhere to all company and industry standard/regulations.
  • Conduct due diligence for multiple projects prior to field work.
  • Review peer work product.
Qualifications
  • Safety is a part of your day-to-day.
  • You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
  • You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work.
  • You are looking for long-term projects.
  • You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team.
  • 1-year general construction experience preferred; some cell industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle.
  • High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
  • Ability to work on ladders, demonstrated manual dexterity.
  • Must be adaptable to changing environments.
  • Must be able to pick up/carry loads of 50 lbs. and be capable of working up to 12 hours.
  • Must be available to work weekends and/or nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary, and be willing to travel extensively.
  • Must be able to work out of the market or away from home as work demands.
