Adjunct Instructor Opportunity in Educational Leadership

Position OverviewThe Department of Educational Leadership is responsible for preparing visionary scholars and leaders who promote equity, inclusiveness, and justice across various spheres. We are seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in educational leadership and practice, with a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB).
Responsibilities- Teach online or face-to-face undergraduate and graduate courses in educational leadership and practice
- Develop and implement curriculum that integrates approaches and perspectives with a focus on DEIB
- Provide written feedback and assign grades to student work in a timely manner
- Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours
- Submit final grades according to policy
We are seeking a candidate with a terminal degree in education (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) and a combination of professional experience and/or content knowledge related to leadership/policy in the following sectors: K12, higher education, and/or general leadership (public sector, nonprofit, military, academic leadership, and leadership in education-adjacent disciplines such as social work and healthcare).
Program-Specific Areas of Needed Expertise- BA in Human and Organizational Development: Facilitation skills, designing online learning, developing culturally competent workplaces, organizational development & change, project management, and consulting skills
- EdD in Leadership: Leadership and experience across the PK20W continuum, international K12, higher education, general leadership, and organizational change and development
- Post-Master's Certificate (PMC) and M.Ed. in Educational Leadership: Legal and regulatory frameworks in education, DEI principles and social justice theory and application, college student developmental theory and practices, human resource management in education, individualized learning strategies and practices, crisis leadership and management skills, immigration theory and practice analysis, student-centered policy development, higher education policy, school community and education stakeholder engagement, and higher education administration
