Job Summary

Janie and Jack LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As a champion of the business, you will lead confidently to drive exceptional results and provide an engaging and convenient shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports General Manager in Managing Store Operations: Collaborate with the General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring it meets key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develops Action Plans and Achieves Objectives: Work with the General Manager to create clear action plans for the store, striving to achieve objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Leads Sales Generation and Customer Focus: As a result-driven role model, you will lead the team in sales generation and customer focus, monitoring and coaching staff to continually improve selling opportunities and build genuine customer relationships.
  • Visual and Merchandising Strategies: Create and implement visual and merchandising strategies to increase sales, understanding floor capacity and store layout.
  • Enhances Customer Experience: Utilize tools and resources to enhance the customer experience.
  • Thrives in Change and Uncertainty: Generates ideas to evolve and grow the business, thriving in change and uncertainty.
  • Motivates and Inspires the Team: Motivates and inspires the team to achieve/exceed hourly, daily, weekly business goals through in-store and omni-selling, using strong business acumen skills.
  • Creates a Positive Work Environment: Creates and maintains a positive and productive work environment that fosters diversity, inclusivity, teamwork, creativity, and a passion for the brand.
  • Supports Team Building and Development: Supports the General Manager in building a dynamic team by networking, recruiting, and anticipating future needs based on business objectives.
  • Accountability and Operational Strength: Accountable for self and consistently holds others accountable, operationally strong and resourceful.
  • Training and Development: Identifies and assesses training needs, creates tailored training plans, and implements various training methods to enhance employees' skills and performance in partnership with the General Manager.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2-4 years of retail sales experience with management experience (preferred).
  • Leadership and Sales Experience: Experienced leadership with demonstrated experience in meeting/exceeding sales and profits.
  • Training and Merchandising Skills: Training skills to elevate the team's product knowledge and selling skills, experience implementing merchandising strategies and changing visual sets.
  • Authenticity and Availability: Acts with authenticity, sincerity, and transparency, available when needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to our peak business periods.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to constantly bend, open, lift, carry, and move merchandise and fixtures up to 40 pounds as needed.
  • Age Requirement: Be at least 18 years old.
