Position Overview:

The Biomedical Technician plays a crucial role in delivering clinical equipment services under the guidance of departmental leadership. Responsibilities encompass a variety of tasks, including thorough inspections of clinical devices to ensure completeness, functionality, and adherence to safety standards. The technician is also responsible for conducting scheduled maintenance checks, calibrating, and performing repairs on both general and complex equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct inspections of clinical equipment to verify operational efficiency and safety compliance.
2. Execute planned maintenance activities and calibrations to maintain equipment performance.
3. Assist in troubleshooting and major repairs of intricate medical devices.
4. Collaborate with fellow technicians to enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Required:
- An Associate's degree in biomedical equipment technology, electronics, or equivalent training and experience is essential. The educational background should encompass formal studies in basic anatomy/physiology, chemistry, and medical terminology.
- A minimum of one year of experience in clinical equipment services, ideally within a healthcare setting.

Special Skills/Equipment:

- Proficient understanding of electronics, including solid-state technology and both linear and digital integrated circuits.
- Familiarity with safety standards and performance requirements related to biomedical instrumentation is necessary.
- Comprehensive knowledge of patient-care equipment operation, underlying physiological principles, and safe usage practices is required.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills are a must.

Compensation:

Hourly Rate Range: $38.48, based on verified education and experience.

Full-Time

Work Hours:
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and additional shifts as required, including on-call duties.
