Job Title: Associate BMET I

Medasource is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate BMET I to join our team. As a key member of our biomedical engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective operation of medical devices in our healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and survey medical devices to gather data on their serial numbers, locations, medical departments, device types, and IP addresses.
  • Enter information into a database to maintain a source of truth for all medical devices.
  • Validate information in the database by comparing it against data gathered in the field and making updates as necessary.
  • Perform performance assurance inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and operation verification procedures on complex biomedical equipment.
  • Repair, install, and calibrate complex biomedical equipment.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding the status of repairs, scheduled inspections, and unusual equipment situations.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in electronics or a related field (preferred).
  • Background in mechanical engineering, technology, or equipment (considered).
  • Interest in working in a healthcare setting with IT or devices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required.
