">We are seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to uphold our mission, vision, values and strategic initiatives to provide the highest level of patient-centered care. The successful candidate will practice professional nursing within the legal and ethical framework established by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Scope and Standards for Nursing Practice, ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and our Professional Practice Model.
">The role involves establishing and maintaining therapeutic relationships with patients and families, encompassing an understanding and integration of cultural and diversity into practice. Effective communication and collaboration with patients, families and healthcare team members is essential. The nurse will also respect patients' values, preferences, expressed needs and knowledge of the healthcare situation in holistic data collection, formulating health care outcomes and evaluating progress.
">Responsibilities
">* Assess patients' health or situations, diagnose their conditions, identify expected outcomes, develop individualized plans of care, implement interventions and evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
">* Engage in professional activities, including leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health.
">Qualifications
">An Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited institution is required. A Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred. All newly hired nurses must have current BCLS certification or obtain it within one month of hire.
">A licensed registered nurse in the State of Connecticut is required. Clinical specialty certification is highly encouraged.
">The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer excellent customer service skills, flexibility, team player, self-starter, compassionate, committed to the profession of nursing and delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
">Please note that physical demands may include prolonged standing, walking, use of sight, hearing and touch. Exposure to infectious diseases and end-of-life conditions is possible.
