POSITION SUMMARY

The Culinary Specialist is tasked with preparing, seasoning, and cooking both menu and special requests in accordance with brand standards. This role also involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across all culinary areas, including kitchens, food prep zones, dishwashing stations, and storage areas. The Culinary Specialist may assist in ordering supplies and maintaining accurate records. Adherence to safe food handling practices is essential, as is collaboration with the sales team to meet the needs of guests, events, and dining services. Compliance with all relevant licensing and regulatory standards is mandatory. This position is within a cozy bistro-style establishment featuring a straightforward menu.

Compensation is set at $16.50 per hour.

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • A food handling certification is necessary in accordance with local regulations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Flexibility in working hours may be required.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
  • Light physical activity - ability to exert up to 20 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Capability to reach overhead, utilize both hands, bend, stoop, and kneel.
