Position Overview:

As a vital member of our hospitality team, the Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring that each guest receives a warm and memorable welcome, as well as a smooth departure experience. This position serves as the first point of contact for guests, embodying the essence of our brand and setting the tone for their stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate guest check-ins and check-outs in accordance with our service standards and operational procedures.
  • Establish accurate accounts for each guest based on their preferences, including room type and payment method.
  • Manage room assignments and ensure all special requests are fulfilled.
  • Prepare key packets for pre-registered guests.
  • Communicate essential guest information to relevant departments to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of all guest and hotel information.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail to guarantee the security of guest room access.
  • Adhere to all accounting standards to ensure accurate billing and adjustments.
  • Maintain comprehensive guest history files.
  • Address room changes promptly and efficiently.
  • Document and escalate guest requests, complaints, or issues to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
  • Monitor and distribute guest faxes as needed.
  • Resolve any discrepancies in room status reports with the housekeeping team.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel features, services, and promotions.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in data entry and computer systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.
  • Strong mathematical skills for accurate calculations.
  • Quick thinking and decisive problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple arrivals and departures.
  • Previous experience in hotel front desk operations is highly desirable.
  • Experience in cashiering and customer service training is preferred.

Compensation:

The pay rate for this position is $17.50 per hour for 1st and 2nd shifts, and $18.50 for overnight shifts.
