Cloud DevOps Architect

At Omni Inclusive, we're seeking a highly skilled Cloud DevOps Architect to join our team. As a key member of our cloud engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cloud-based infrastructure and applications that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop highly available, scalable, and secure cloud-based applications using AWS
  • Assist in architecting, designing, and implementing cloud-based IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions
  • Design, develop, and implement automation to support continuous delivery and continuous integration solutions
  • Provide consulting and help build pipelines for application teams integrating cloud services into their applications
  • Design and develop platform engineering and automation for governing usage of cloud services and application autonomy
  • Design and implement workflows to automate the release and upgrade process for applications in Development, Test, and Production environments
  • Collaborate with the Cloud Security and Identity Teams on the administration and engineering of Role-Based Access Controls and processes
  • Help design and develop Governance of cloud infrastructure, including both technical controls and cost governance structures
  • Create and update support documentation and standards
  • Develop automated methodologies for deployment activities, configuration management, supporting systems, and business processes
  • Use Jira to track and manage all work through the development life cycle
  • Proactively analyze and contribute improvements to support our deployment processes
  • Investigate and contribute to solving various issues in production environments
  • Drive compliance and security efforts related to systems managed by the team
Requirements:
  • AWS professional and/or specialty certification, such as Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer
  • Experience in implementing Secure Architectures for private and/or public internet-facing systems
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, infrastructure, and best practices, such as K8S, Containers, Serverless, Microservices
  • Strong understanding of IaC, CI/CD Pipelines, Terraform, CloudFormation, Bitbucket, Bamboo, etc.
  • Strong understanding of networking and internet protocols and distributed systems
  • Experience designing and developing resilient, highly available, and scalable systems for the cloud
  • Experience in cloud cost optimization and budget management
  • Proficiency in Python, AWS CLI
  • Working knowledge of Shared Responsibility models
  • Prior experience building out CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working in Agile teams, and related tools (Jira, Confluence, etc)
