Job Title: Director of Structural Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Structural Engineering to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of structural engineers, overseeing the design and implementation of complex projects, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of our work.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of structural engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
  • Oversee the design and development of complex structural engineering projects from concept to completion.
  • Conduct design reviews to ensure the accuracy and quality of our work, and to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, coordinating with other teams and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Oversee the proposal process, working closely with our business development team to secure new projects.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and clients, to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of structural engineering, and incorporate new technologies and methodologies into our work.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building design.
  • Proven experience in project management, including project scheduling, budgeting, and proposal development.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Exceptional technical skills, with a deep understanding of structural engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD and structural analysis software.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
