Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a skilled Utility Construction Technician 2 to join our team in Washington, MO. As a key member of our stormwater infrastructure team, you will be responsible for repairing and constructing vital stormwater infrastructure, underground utilities, concrete structures, and stormwater basins across the central states.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate hand-held tools, power tools, and heavy construction equipment, including skid loaders, excavators, and dozers.
  • Repair and construct stormwater infrastructure, underground utilities, concrete structures, and stormwater basins.
  • Travel to various locations throughout the central states, exploring different areas while making a significant impact.
  • Learn and develop pioneering construction and regulatory compliance techniques that will set you apart in our field.
  • Document field observations to contribute to project success and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety on every project, protecting yourself and your team.

Requirements:

  • GED, High School Diploma, or equivalent experience
  • 2 to 4 years of construction experience
  • Ability to travel Monday through Friday, with travel required 85% of the time
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
  • Proficient in the operation of construction equipment, power tools, and concrete hand tools
  • Basic understanding of plans and specs
  • Knowledge of stormwater & sediment and erosion control
  • Prior experience with repair and construction of stormwater infrastructure, concrete structures, rebar, and concrete finishing, underground piping, and detention/retention basins is a plus
  • Comprehensive understanding of OSHA safety practices and comfortable using pickups and equipment trailers while following DOT requirements
