Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic care team at Webster Manor Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Webster. As a valued member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to our residents and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of the RN, ensuring the highest degree of quality care at all times.
- Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistant, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
- Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident, maintaining current resident care plans and following physician's orders.
- Transcribe physician's orders promptly and accurately, reviewing patient records daily to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes, visiting each resident daily to evaluate resident needs and maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert lists.
- Administer medication according to procedure, maintaining an accurate and safe control of all drugs for which you are responsible.
- Initiate emergency procedures as necessary, demonstrating correct safety techniques and respecting facility equipment and supplies.
- Contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions, promoting positive resident and family relations.
- Comply with facility Privacy Practices Policies & Procedures, protecting residents' individual health information.
- Continue growth and expand job knowledge, demonstrating leadership skills and other duties assigned by manager.
- Must be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
- Must be CPR certified and possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.
- Must have a minimum of one year experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related healthcare facility, with new graduates welcome.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, deal tactfully with personnel and residents, and communicate effectively in emergency situations.
