Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Algae Production Technician to join our team at Arizona Algae Products, LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maximizing production output, efficiency, quality, and safety in our algae production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain our proprietary photo-bioreactors to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Load nutrients, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventative maintenance and cleaning activities using powered equipment.
  • Conduct quality inspections and record data to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Collaborate with the production team to sustain bio-factory cleantech operations and ensure safety.
  • Apply process improvement techniques, tools, and procedures to maximize bio-factory equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, make basic repairs, and document adjustments.
  • Produce ultra-clean algae biomass with optimum yield.
  • Focus on safe work practices and quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency.
  • Adhere to cleantech standards and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Must be a steady, reliable worker.
  • Must be hands-on.
  • Must be able to read and use manuals and diagrams.
  • Must be able to solve problems and make decisions independently and in team settings.
  • Must have solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be highly motivated and self-directed.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and be a team player.
  • Prior experience in production operations or equipment maintenance preferred.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools.
  • Ability to stand, crouch, and climb ladders and perform various types of manual labor.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Vision (with correction) sufficient for reading, performing inspections, and repairs.
