Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Novant Health. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Professional, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support in a variety of situations.
  • Perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures according to established protocols.
  • Screen patients and family members entering the Imaging Center according to established protocols.
  • Report changes in patients to appropriate personnel for follow-up.
  • Transport patients as needed for all sections of the Radiology Department.
  • Provide patients with information relevant to their exams.
  • Document all procedural information for completed examinations.
  • Perform and document quality assurance and quality control according to section protocol.
  • Ensure the harmonious operation of the MRI section.
  • Administer contrast media according to established medication review protocols.
  • Perform moderate or waived point-of-care testing according to CLIA guidelines.
Requirements
  • Credentials: RT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a 2-year degree in an approved radiology program or work experience recognized by the approved licensing agency.
  • Previous MRI experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence.
