Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Nursing Services Manager to join our team at Constructive Partnerships Unlimited. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of healthcare services to individuals receiving services in an assigned program unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and establish healthcare outcomes for individuals receiving services.
- Coordinate the delivery of routine and specialty healthcare services to address assessed needs.
- Act as a liaison to communicate health information between team members, families, and other service providers.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of preventive/ongoing healthcare and make recommendations/referrals as necessary.
- Conduct health-related trainings for individuals receiving services, direct care staff, and other team members as needed.
- Assign direct care staff to perform healthcare treatments/procedures after considering complexity, staff skill/experience, and individual health condition.
- Supervise AMAP staff and work with the Nursing Educator to ensure certification and re-certification.
- Provide on-call coverage and be prepared to go onsite if necessary.
- Maintain medical standards as set forth in agency policy and OPWDD regulations.
- Participate in meetings as indicated, including IDT, Day Program, Human Rights, and Departmental meetings.
Requirements
- NYS Registered Nurse; Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Prior nursing experience and/or experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel to and access multiple locations throughout the metropolitan area.
- Able to work flexible hours and/or days.
