Position Summary: The Associate Director of Marketing Communications will report to the senior director of school-based marketing communications and will work closely with the dean of the Stritch School of Medicine. This role is pivotal in formulating and implementing strategic marketing and communication initiatives aimed at enhancing the school's visibility and reputation among various stakeholders, including prospective students, faculty, alumni, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing communications strategies that align with the university's brand.
  • Enhance the school's reputation and visibility through targeted engagement efforts.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of engaging content across multiple platforms.
  • Manage the school's digital presence, including social media and website content.
  • Support media relations and crisis communication efforts as needed.
  • Supervise and mentor student workers and freelancers involved in marketing projects.
  • Establish and manage budgets in coordination with university leadership.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within all marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in marketing communications, ideally within higher education or healthcare.
  • Proven ability to create and implement effective marketing strategies with measurable outcomes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with digital storytelling and content creation.
  • Familiarity with media relations and project management.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and content management systems.
Working Conditions: This position may require irregular hours and collaboration with various teams across the university.
