About You:

We are seeking a Bilingual Banking Customer Service Representative to join our team. This is a full-time, non-exempt role based in the South Bronx headquarters. Ideal candidates must have prior cash handling and customer service experience, preferably with at least a year of retail banking experience.

Responsibilities include understanding and promoting various banking products, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining customer files. Candidates must be fluent in both English and Spanish, possess strong math and computer skills, and demonstrate knowledge of banking products and regulations.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide friendly, pro-active servicing of customer needs to continually exceed expectations.
  • Open new accounts with appropriate identification and maintain customer files.
  • Complete other operational duties as assigned, including those unique to the requirements of assigned branch.
  • Process customer monetary transactions accurately and efficiently as required, ensuring branch protocol and customer service is maintained at the highest level.
  • Resolve easy-to-complex customer service issues expeditiously while providing a personable customer experience.
  • Collect and safeguard sensitive financial data.
  • Perform recorded callbacks to verify wiring instructions.
  • Use a variety of banking systems to service customers (FIS, Horizon, etc.).
  • Describe and sell the Banks products and services as appropriate to benefit customers.
  • Identify fraudulent activity to prevent potential losses and maintain awareness of current fraud alerts.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Banks products and services and applicable Federal regulations, including Bank Secrecy and Know Your Customer principles.
  • Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with Company and regulatory standards, policies and practices; report control weaknesses, compliance breaches, and operational loss events.
  • Review reports and resolve exceptions as per procedure.
  • Share knowledge and train other employees within Branch.
  • Contact clients to ensure satisfaction with current services and cross-sell if appropriate.
  • Must be willing to work at other branches if/when necessary.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $24-$26 per hour
