Job Summary

Bates College is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commons Associate - Service to join our team. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe food environment, and supporting events and activities on campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation in a fast-paced dining environment
  • Oversee beverage stations and restock food and beverage options
  • Ensure proper sanitation and safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff
  • Support events and activities on campus, including setup and cleanup
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and customers
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent desired
  • Serve Safe certification preferred
  • Previous food service experience desired
  • Strong commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
