Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled System Specialist to join our team at PSSI. As a System Specialist, you will be responsible for managing large-scale equipment maintenance, installations, and ongoing efficacy studies with customers across several locations and facilities within a geographic territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage equipment maintenance, installations, and ongoing efficacy studies with customers.
- Ensure procedures are adhered to when repairing, replacing, and installing equipment.
- Direct, coordinate, and facilitate the repair, maintenance, and installation of assigned equipment projects.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment.
- Evaluate the efficacy of the equipment and discuss internally and externally to provide recommendations to ensure customer goals are met.
- Provide regularly scheduled maintenance, repairs, and training of plant personnel in the proper operations and maintenance of system.
- Inspect chemical dispensing equipment for conformance with operational standards and sanitary design.
- Manage contractors (quality, efficiency, safety)
- Exercise independent judgement in business decisions (equipment replacement, delivery concentration targets, warranty claims)
- Ensure proper programming of equipment for optimal performance
- Potential for handling hazardous materials (to include removal and disposal)
- Work with the Research and Development team to design and build prototype equipment
- Monitor customer locations remotely using our MARC system and adjust settings, as necessary.
- Create scope of work (SOW) documents for specific projects.
- Interact with outside contractors to gather quotes, schedule, and oversee work, and ensure all safety protocols are followed .
- Conduct site surveys for work to be performed on upcoming projects.
- Complete site acceptance testing (SAT) once projects are completed and prior to submitting to customers.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
- 2 years' related experience
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Must plan, prepare, and follow multi-Facility, multi-state travel schedule.
- Dedication to work and promote safety in the workplace.
- Willing to learn and strive in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to utilize common sense understanding to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions.
Work Environment:
Outside or inside working environment, wherein there are potentially hazardous working conditions and life-threatening situations exist (fire, chemicals, electrical sources, heights, etc.). May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
