Job Purpose:

The primary goal of this position is to deliver outstanding customer service to our patrons and donors while ensuring a tidy and organized shopping environment. Each transaction must be handled with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a professional appearance, consistently adhering to the established dress code.
  • Effectively manage the personal cash drawer, including opening, closing, and balancing, while following all financial handling protocols set by The Salvation Army.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Point of Sale system to ensure efficient and accurate sales transactions, achieving proficiency within three months of employment.
  • Keep the cash register area and the store clean and organized, which includes cleaning, organizing, restocking, and straightening as required.
  • Exhibit a welcoming attitude, greeting customers and offering assistance as needed.
  • Adhere to all policies of The Salvation Army regarding merchandise sales.
  • Ensure the sales floor is well-stocked and assist in displaying new merchandise. Work towards meeting daily production goals as necessary.
  • Be available for a flexible work schedule.
