Job Description:


The Sales and Business Analyst will act as a data-driven consultant to the Central Senior Management and Sales Teams, providing insights and recommendations to drive fact-based decisions.

This role supports the sales team with analytical insights, as well as supporting the demand planning process for North America.

The Analyst will work cross-functionally to develop consensus demand and financial forecasts by collaborating closely with key retail customers, the US and Canada sales teams, operations, and product management teams.

Additionally, the Analyst will create and manage business intelligence tools and provide regular reporting to support sales strategies and achieve KPIs.

This position will work closely with the VP of Sales to create commercial sales strategies, support sell-in of key products, and plan product launches.



Key Responsibilities:

Develop Sales Insights:

Provide high-value information on consumers, customers, products, and the financial health of the business by analyzing sales data and market trends.

This will help the organization make informed decisions and strategize effectively.

Forecast Management:
Lead efforts to create and maintain accurate item forecasts for the region.

Highlight potential risks and opportunities and work collaboratively to implement necessary forecast changes through the appropriate demand planning and sales forecasting systems.


Consensus Demand Planning:
Utilize historical sales trends, key retailer input, and predictive analytic models to develop a consensus demand plan. This plan will align with the overall business strategy and ensure that all stakeholders are on the same page.

Forecasting Process Improvement:
Continuously assess and improve the overall forecasting process.

This includes collecting inputs, identifying new sources of relevant information, selecting and validating forecast models, and optimizing system use to enhance accuracy and efficiency.


Forecast Accuracy Metrics:
Define and document regional forecast accuracy metrics.

Ensure that all team members understand these metrics, their importance, and how their individual contributions help achieve the overall goals.


Inventory and Forecasting Targets:
Be accountable for achieving set inventory and forecasting targets. Drive continuous improvement by regularly reviewing performance and implementing best practices to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Business Communication:
Develop, maintain, and deliver clear and concise monthly regional business communications. These communications should convey the most relevant business information to various levels of the organization, ensuring transparency and alignment.

Channel Inventory Management:
Serve as the main point of contact for channel inventory and sell-through management. Provide insights into trends and help manage inventory levels to optimize sales and reduce excess stock.

Sales Data Monitoring:
Proactively and independently monitor and report sales data, including Sell-In and Sell-Out figures. Use this data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to the sales teams.

Market & Competitor Analysis:
Conduct thorough market and competitor analysis. Follow market activities such as campaigns and special sales offers to provide comprehensive explanations for Sell-Out developments. Use this information to create fact-based sales recommendations for account managers.

Requirements:

Experience supporting sales teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments
Experience with predictive analytics and with demand planning software, implementation experience a plus
Experience with Salesforce a plus
Experience with Tableau a plus
Experience with forecasting demand at the consumer level through retail customers
Understanding of S&OP principles and practices, ability to work cross functionally to achieve business goals
Ability to develop clear action plans and drive processes with numerous interdependencies

Proficient in Microsoft Applications:
Excel, PowerPoint
Strong organizational and planning skills required
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Strong presentation skills required
Results driven and customer focused
Some travel required
