Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Services: Uphold superior guest services and ensure absolute customer satisfaction by providing exceptional food quality, prompt service, and a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Critical Thinking: Use critical thinking during unforeseen circumstances to resolve issues and make informed decisions that benefit the restaurant and its guests.
  • Team Management: Assist with the hiring process, training, and development of all employees to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Scheduling: Oversee the creation of effective employee schedules that maintain coverage at peak times and minimize labor costs.
  • Department Knowledge: Be knowledgeable in all departments and able to perform essential tasks and assist in any position when necessary or required.
  • Support: Support the Store Manager in maintaining set budgets, reaching sales and quality goals, and ensuring all food items are prepared and served according to Bento standards of quality, consistency, portion, and timeliness.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and a culture of excellence.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of management experience within the food and beverage industry, preferably as a Department Lead at Bento Kitchen + Sushi.
  • Cross-Training: Be completely cross-trained in all departments.
  • Computer Proficiency: Have computer proficiency, including the ability to correspond effectively via email and text, and perform data input.
  • Google Suite: Experience with Google Suite is preferred, but similar experience will be considered.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to continuous learning and growth.
  • Communication: Able to remain calm and communicate effectively during stressful situations.
  • Physical Demands: Able to withstand a 12+ hour workday and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
