Catholic Health Initiatives operates a network of health facilities, including a tertiary hospital and various critical access hospitals and outpatient services across the region. Our organization offers a wide array of inpatient and outpatient medical services, such as:

- Primary and specialty physician clinics

Responsibilities
Purpose Statement:
To engage in all aspects of pharmaceutical services, which encompass drug distribution and clinical services, while honoring the dignity of all individuals and maintaining cost efficiency.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee medication therapy and communicate findings to relevant healthcare professionals.
- Gather and submit PharmDoc intervention data regularly.
- Participate in renal dosing protocols and pharmacokinetic monitoring.
- Assess medication orders for appropriateness, including dosage and potential drug interactions.
- Guide nursing staff in resolving medication-related issues.
- Manage and address tasks in the Pharmacy Order Entry System.
- Engage in patient education regarding their medication regimens and disease prevention.
- Document drug information inquiries as per established policy.
- Contribute to formulary management and participate in policy development and review.
- Maintain professionalism and leadership standards by participating in departmental education and research initiatives.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
Licensure:
Must hold a valid pharmacist license in good standing.
Experience:
No prior experience required.
Skills:
Proficient in computer applications and capable of providing pharmaceutical care across all patient age groups.
Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to interact effectively with staff, patients, and visitors while maintaining confidentiality.
Other:
Exposure to environmental hazards typical of a medical facility, including potential contact with blood and body fluids. Participation in continuing education as mandated by the relevant pharmacy board is expected.
Compensation:
$69.68 per hour. We are an equal opportunity employer.
