Under minimal oversight, the primary responsibilities of the Insurance Sales Specialist may encompass:
- Establishing and nurturing robust relationships with brokers to enhance sales across all product offerings.
- Identifying and reaching out to dormant brokers to uncover new sales avenues.
- Delivering product and technology training sessions for brokers and their teams.
- Conducting proactive sales outreach and follow-up communications with both active and prospective brokers.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulating and executing sales tactics, employing effective selling strategies to secure new medical and specialty business through agents and brokers.
- Facilitating agency training and aiding agents in crafting marketing strategies and lead generation, including but not limited to agent websites, quoting, and email marketing.
- Maintaining regular and effective communication with brokers to foster strong selling relationships and boost sales across all product lines.
- Engaging with new or inactive brokers to explore fresh sales opportunities.
- Participating in various industry events and conferences to cultivate new agency leads and expand business prospects.
- Handling inbound sales inquiries and providing product support to brokers through both written and verbal communication.
- Exhibiting a comprehensive understanding of our carrier partners' underwriting preferences, services, and product offerings.
- Staying informed about current industry trends.
Qualifications and Skills
- Maintain necessary insurance licenses and certifications.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets from new group submissions.
- Engage with potential and active brokers to enhance sales volume and offer consultative services to assist with purchasing decisions.
- Participate in marketing initiatives and present the value proposition of Warner Pacific Insurance to attract new brokers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent messaging and communication with brokers.
- Document leads and interactions in the designated CRM system.
- Identify potential workflow improvements and communicate suggestions to management.
- Work alongside marketing to create relevant promotional materials.
- Conduct all business dealings with a sales-oriented mindset, prioritizing sound purchasing recommendations for brokers and members.
- Exhibit exemplary judgment, integrity, and professionalism in all job-related activities.
- Demonstrate the ability to identify and implement efficient processes to achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide support in other departmental areas as required.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Additional Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education or degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in Insurance Sales.
- Valid life/health insurance license.
- Knowledge of sales principles, marketing strategies, and customer service processes.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to negotiate effectively and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to perform essential job functions in a standard office environment.
