Job Summary

We are seeking a Mental Health Counselor to join our team at the 5 West Adolescent Unit, a new secured 10-bed psychiatric unit providing care for children between the ages of 12 and 18. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to create a safe and structured service environment, attending to the individual needs of patients in crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately measure and document patient intake and output.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, maintaining nutritional and hydration needs.
  • Monitor patients' needs and perform tasks assigned by the charge RN.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. CHA offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement savings options.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in counseling or a related field.
  • Experience working in a psychiatric setting, preferably with adolescents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
