Position Overview

The Registered Nurse in our Neuro ICU is a vital member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, responsible for the care and management of a designated group of patients. This role involves utilizing the nursing process and therapeutic communication to provide high-quality care.

Unit Overview

Our Neuroscience Unit features a 16-bed ICU and a cutting-edge Neuro Interventional Suite, integral to the Cooper Comprehensive Stroke Center. Our nursing staff provides expert care for a variety of neurological conditions, ensuring continuity of care with advanced technology and around-the-clock support. We pride ourselves on teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration, while also engaging in community outreach to enhance neurological education and health.


Experience Requirements

A minimum of one year of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse in an inpatient environment is required.


Education Requirements

Must be a graduate of an NLN-accredited School of Nursing.


License/Certification Requirements

Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse) is mandatory.

Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers) is required.

Advanced certifications may be necessary for certain specialties (e.g., ACLS, NALS, PALS).


Special Requirements

Availability for shifts from 7 am to 7 pm, including weekends and holidays, is essential.
