Key Responsibilities:


The Radiation Therapist collaborates closely with the Radiation Oncologist to devise and implement treatment plans, administering precise radiation doses with specialized techniques.

This role also encompasses basic dosimetry tasks to ensure accurate treatment delivery.

Daily quality control checks of therapy equipment are part of the responsibilities, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of treatment protocols.

Patient assessment, treatment, and care are tailored to meet the diverse needs of individuals across various age groups, requiring a deep understanding of growth and development.

Maintaining confidentiality of all patient information is paramount, alongside the ability to work efficiently under pressure while ensuring precision in all tasks.

The Radiation Therapist is expected to be available for on-call duties during weekends and is responsible for coordinating specific procedures as necessary.



Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy Technology or higher is required.
- Valid New York State License is mandatory.
- Certification from the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (Therapists) is essential.
- New York State License for IV contrast injection is required.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role is necessary.

Compensation:
- The pay range for this position is $53.70 per hour.
- Compensation is determined based on experience, skills, and educational background.

Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be compensated within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.

The pay range may also vary based on location.
