The Territory Sales Consultant acts as the primary business development and client relationship manager for Pilot Thomas Logistics (PTL). This role serves as a key contact for clients both at job sites and within local and regional offices. The consultant will be responsible for achieving specific sales goals that align with PTL's overarching sales strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all PTL personnel.
  • Meet and exceed sales objectives established by the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Identify and cultivate new client relationships for PTL.
  • Achieve sales targets while maximizing gross margins through effective pricing and value-driven selling.
  • Implement sales strategies tailored for Key Accounts.

Develop a strong, trusted advisor relationship with clients by understanding their business goals and demonstrating how PTL can support their objectives. Provide regular updates to PTL sales leadership and maintain accurate sales forecasts using the PTL Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Tool.

Sales Methodology:

  • Utilize established sales methodologies and follow internal processes for pricing and contract development.
  • Work collaboratively with Key Account Executives, Regional Sales Managers, Marketing teams, and Senior Leadership to execute sales initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Financial Accountability:

Responsible for managing a monthly gross margin of $75,000 to $150,000.

Qualifications:

  • Possess advanced sales skills related to specific products and services.
  • Experience in developing and managing a pipeline of new and existing accounts.
  • Ability to create and maintain comprehensive account plans.
  • Proficient in preparing and submitting proposals using relevant tools.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • 3-5 years of proven sales experience or equivalent qualifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell value and solutions effectively.
  • Strong understanding of successful account planning.
  • Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities with professionalism.
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Education:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing preferred.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in an office environment, requiring prolonged periods of sitting. Physical capabilities include standing, bending, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
