Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong background in overseeing large-scale construction initiatives and government contracts. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in managing project timelines, budgets, and quality assurance, ensuring successful project completion within the defined parameters. A PMP certification is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring all goals are achieved.
- Facilitate communication and coordination among government entities, contractors, and other relevant parties.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to guarantee project standards are met.
- Create and uphold comprehensive project plans that encompass scope, timeline, and budget for effective project tracking.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor project advancement, proactively addressing any challenges that arise. Travel may be required.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and quality assurance measures.
- Maintain thorough project documentation, including blueprints and relevant records.
- Prepare and deliver regular updates on project status to management and stakeholders.
- Utilize various software tools to collaborate with team members and manage project documentation.
- Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, resolving project-related issues effectively.
- Manage project resources, including personnel and materials, to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring their expectations are met.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in construction project management, particularly with government contracts.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex construction projects, including budgeting and scheduling.
- Strong knowledge of government regulations and compliance in the construction sector.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
