Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Are you a skilled Acute Care Nurse Practitioner looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity? Trident Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina is seeking an experienced nurse practitioner to join our intensive care team. As a member of our ICU team, you will work closely with our intensivists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. This is a full-time position requiring 15 shifts per month, working a mix of days and nights in a 28-bed medical/surgical ICU with a cardiac and small neuro patient population.
About the PositionThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing primary care to critically ill patients, developing and implementing individualized patient care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care. You will also be required to maintain accurate records, educate patients and families on disease processes and treatment options, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
About the FacilityTrident Medical Center is a 321-bed major medical center with a 24-hour emergency room and Level II Trauma Center. We are designated as a Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center and seek Comprehensive Stroke Designation. Our Heart Center is award-winning, and we have a South Carolina Institute for Robotic Surgery, Trident Breast Care Center, and Joseph M. Still Burn Clinic. Proudly serving patients and families in Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties for over 40 years.
