Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their questions and providing guidance on insurance coverage and contractual requirements.
- Assist in the strategic design of insurance plans for clients with little to no supervision, ensuring timely and accurate quotations and policies.
- Act as a field underwriter and authorized representative of insurance carriers to determine coverage and bind policies as needed.
- Strategically assist in the remarketing of renewals to ensure high account retention and oversee the preparation of proposals, including submissions, loss evaluations, and risk analysis.
- Communicate various options for billing and invoicing, prepare summaries of insurance and schedules, and support client needs by producing binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and other related items.
- Assure policies are accurate and renewed in a timely manner, assist clients in submitting first reports of claims, and facilitate prompt responses from carriers and their staff.
- Review policy audits, verify accuracy, and communicate significant differences to clients, determining the need for further action.
- Recommend process improvements, quickly identify and resolve complex client service issues, and perform special projects as assigned.
- 3-5 years' account management experience in the insurance industry, preferably in personal lines of coverage.
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills for in-person and teleconference/webinar sessions.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- In-depth understanding of advanced personal lines of coverage and ability to advise clients on complex insurance needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and intermediate to advanced knowledge of insurance markets, products, services, insurance ratings, and underwriting procedures.
- Valid driver's license, ability to travel to client sites, and reliable transportation.
