Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Evan W. Smith Funeral Services. As a key member of our staff, you will provide exceptional support to our families and ensure seamless office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between families, funeral directors, and office staff to provide exceptional customer service
  • Perform general administrative and clerical duties, including drafting correspondences and other formal documents
  • Plan and schedule appointments and events, manage and coordinate appointment calendar
  • Greet and assist onsite guests, ensuring a welcoming and compassionate environment
  • Coordinate, receive, and record payments, verify insurance, and complete coordinating paperwork
  • Maintain accurate and timely client records, input information into company databases
  • Provide administrative support across the organization, including supervising subordinate staff
  • Perform all other office tasks, ensuring public areas are presentable and stocked

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in office administration or related fields, with a minimum of one year experience in a professional office setting
  • Proficient with standard suite of office programming, ability to operate basic office equipment
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask, excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, well-developed organizational skills, and exemplary time management skills
