Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our Critical Care Pharmacy team at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. As a critical care pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and dispense prescription medications, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Provide expert advice to physicians and other healthcare professionals on medication indications, contraindications, dosages, and side effects.
  • Maintain accurate records, including pharmacy files, patient profiles, and inventory control.
  • Supervise and train pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient and safe pharmacy operations.
  • Oversee the acquisition and distribution of medications to various locations.
  • Develop and implement procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals according to policy and legal requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in Mississippi or eligibility for licensure.
  • Possession of a controlled substance license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a 7-on, 7-off night shift schedule. The successful candidate will be required to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with occasional exposure to unpleasant physical environments and biohazardous conditions.
