Job Summary

Austin Heart is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to provide clinical expertise and ensure high-quality patient care. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our physicians and delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking vital signs and obtaining medical histories
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, including sterilization
  • Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
  • Support physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals
  • Answer telephone calls and screen referrals
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program
  • OR 12 months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting
  • OR current Medical Assistant certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials
