Job Title: Addictions Physician

Department: Department of Psychiatry

Location: VCU Health - Richmond, VA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Addictions Physician to join our dedicated team at VCU Health. As an Addictions Physician, you will play a critical role in providing addiction services to patients and teaching addiction psychiatry/medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Administration: 10% of work effort will be dedicated to teaching and teaching-related activities, including preparation and presentation of instructional materials, lectures, and mentoring trainees.
  • Clinical: 90% of work effort will be focused on clinical addictions activities in addiction medicine.

Requirements:

  • U.S. medical degree or equivalent (M.D. or D.O.)
  • Virginia license/licensure-eligible
  • DEA licensure, including waiver for buprenorphine
  • Post-doctoral credentialing in addiction medicine or addiction psychiatry
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment
  • Demonstrated history of working with patients with addictions
