Position Summary:
*This role is essential in ensuring the efficient delivery of medications to patients. As a vital member of the pharmacy team, the Certified Pharmacy Technician will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications
  • Prepare intravenous admixtures, including chemotherapy, adhering to strict aseptic techniques
  • Manage automated dispensing cabinets, ensuring proper maintenance and resolution of discrepancies
  • Support inventory management by verifying and organizing stock, ensuring proper rotation and expiration checks
  • Prepare sterile products, ensuring accurate labeling and compliance with departmental policies and regulations
  • Assist with patient billing and coordination with other departments

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensure / Certification: Valid Pharmacy Technician Certification and active registration with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy
  • Experience: Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in mathematical calculations (ratios, proportions, etc.)
