Position Overview

Sign-On Bonus: $500 (For External Candidates Only)

Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator (Administrative Support) at Nuvance Health.

Work Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours per week, with a mix of shifts including 3 days from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and 2 days from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

Role Summary: This position is responsible for delivering administrative and clerical support while facilitating patient care operations within the healthcare practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain the accuracy of patient records, including personal details and insurance information.
  2. Provide a welcoming reception for patients and communicate effectively and courteously.
  3. Manage incoming calls, directing them appropriately, taking messages, and ensuring clear communication.
  4. Handle patient registration, verification, and appointment scheduling, including tests and referrals.
  5. Rearrange appointments that have been canceled or missed.
  6. Process requests for medical records, including copying, billing, and documentation.
  7. Collect co-payments and ensure accurate financial reconciliation.
  8. Coordinate the retrieval of medical records for both new and returning patients.
  9. Conduct audits as assigned to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  10. Manage the intake and processing of medical records and related documentation via electronic fax.
  11. Exhibit a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
  12. Adhere to all compliance obligations related to the role.
  13. Perform additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Required: High School Diploma or GED; proficiency in MS Outlook; data entry skills; and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred: Experience with Practice Management Systems, familiarity with medical office operations, and knowledge of MS Excel.

Compensation: $29.51 per hour.
