Position Overview
Sign-On Bonus: $500 (For External Candidates Only)
Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator (Administrative Support) at Nuvance Health.
Work Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours per week, with a mix of shifts including 3 days from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and 2 days from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
Role Summary: This position is responsible for delivering administrative and clerical support while facilitating patient care operations within the healthcare practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the accuracy of patient records, including personal details and insurance information.
- Provide a welcoming reception for patients and communicate effectively and courteously.
- Manage incoming calls, directing them appropriately, taking messages, and ensuring clear communication.
- Handle patient registration, verification, and appointment scheduling, including tests and referrals.
- Rearrange appointments that have been canceled or missed.
- Process requests for medical records, including copying, billing, and documentation.
- Collect co-payments and ensure accurate financial reconciliation.
- Coordinate the retrieval of medical records for both new and returning patients.
- Conduct audits as assigned to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Manage the intake and processing of medical records and related documentation via electronic fax.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
- Adhere to all compliance obligations related to the role.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Required: High School Diploma or GED; proficiency in MS Outlook; data entry skills; and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred: Experience with Practice Management Systems, familiarity with medical office operations, and knowledge of MS Excel.
Compensation: $29.51 per hour.
