Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with various departments to provide accurate responses to inquiries, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Oversee our regulatory compliance framework, managing supplier verification processes and key certification standards.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of audits conducted by customers, vendors, and third parties.
  • Contribute to compliance and risk assessments for both new and existing products and processes.
  • Participate in committees and initiatives related to Food Safety, Food Fraud, and Defense.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of standards and regulations governing fruit and vegetable manufacturing and distribution.
  • Stay informed about food safety regulations, including hazard analysis and preventive controls, as well as relevant certifications.
  • Ensure that our food safety and regulatory practices remain current with evolving certification and government requirements.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Core Competencies:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in food regulatory compliance or food safety; PCQI certification is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Strong capability to interpret and apply food safety principles and governmental regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and make informed recommendations.
  • Proactive in initiating projects while aligning with organizational goals.
  • Effective planning and project management skills, with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems; experience with compliance management tools is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires prolonged periods of computer use, including typing.
  • Able to work in an office setting and occasionally in a food manufacturing environment.
